Mark
Lauterbach
Mark brings 19 years of career experience
focused on strategic sourcing and supply chain management
emphasizing on global business development and supply chain transformation.
He has held a variety of supply chain roles with industry leaders
including Honeywell, Black & Decker, Brunswick, and NipponDenso.
The last eight years of his career have focused on supporting
mid-tier industrial companies including Gardner Denver,
Woodward Governor, and Stolle Machinery. Mark has
extensive background in international business development,
with over 15 years
in manufacturing and strategic purchasing implementation in China
and Korea.
While at Stolle Machinery Company, Mark served as Chief Procurement
Officer and was recruited by the private equity owner to lead
a purchasing transformation that included organizational restructuring
and implementation of new strategic purchasing and supply chain
processes. This resulted in significant reduction in costs
of purchased materials and services, while improving product
quality and overall supplier performance.
As a founding partner
of Active Strategies Group, Mark focuses on assisting mid-tier
manufacturing organizations and private equity owners in improving
bottom line profitability through strategic purchasing
and supply chain transformation. He believes that by addressing
People, Process, and Systems, organizations can create lasting
value for their constituents.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in
Materials and Logistics Management (Supply Chain Management) from
Michigan State University, internationally recognized for its leading
supply chain programs. He is a member of the Institute for Supply
Management, the Institute of Management Consultants USA, and a
board advisor for Palooza LLC, a startup entertainment company.

Bill van Bark
Bill is a seasoned professional in the areas of organizational
change and talent management. He brings over 10 years of experience
designing, and implementing strategies that enhance individual
and organizational performance.
Working with a wide range of organizations including Fortune
500 companies, mid-market businesses, and start-ups, Bill has
assisted in selecting and developing key leaders. He has designed
competency models for evaluating leadership behaviors in the
financial services, pharmaceutical and manufacturing sectors.
Bill has provided services to numerous organizations including
Bank of America, ING, Kaiser Permanante, Woodward Governor,
and Encana Oil & Gas.
Bill’s focus at Active Strategies Group is on assessing,
designing, and implementing strategies that enable purchasing
teams to manage organizational change while increasing profitability.
He brings a practical and clear approach to helping leaders
navigate complex challenges. Bill is committed to working with
organizations to provide training that is targeted, practical
and focused on business results.
Bill holds a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology
from the University of Denver and is a licensed psychologist.
He also received an M.A. from Denver Seminary, and a B.A. from
California State University, Northridge. Bill is a member of
the Society of Consulting Psychologists and the American Psychological
Association.
